Daniel K. Williams teaches American history at Ashland University, where he is a senior fellow at the Ashbrook Center. His books on religion and politics in the United States include The Politics of the Cross: A Christian Alternative to Partisanship and God's Own Party: The Making of the Christian Right. His articles on contemporary issues of faith and politics have been published in the New York Times, the Atlantic, and Christianity Today.
